Hythe Town defender Mitchell Dickenson joins Hemel Hempstead Town

Mitchell Dickenson has left Hythe Town to join Hemel Hempstead.

His move to the National League South club follows months of speculation after another good season at club level as well as international recognition.

Dickenson, the former Gillingham defender, played for an FA Representative XI in April before making his England C debut earlier this month.

Hythe will receive compensation for Dickenson, as he's only 22, with the defender set to play against Maidstone, Dartford and Tonbridge this season.

Dickenson came through the Gills youth system and made five appearances for the first team.

He spent two seasons at Hythe but recently announced he would be moving on to give himself a chance of getting back into full-time football.
