The premise is simple. Setting out from a base camp, and using GPS, your team is required to reach four different locations within the park, with a team task awaiting you at each location.

Lateral thinking, basic orienteering, team work and a bit of gentle exercise will all come in handy to beat each challenge.

Points will be awarded for each of the first three tasks completed, ‘I will survive’, ‘Can’t eat, won’t eat’, and ‘Cross the river’.

The more points you can collect, the better chance you have of finishing the fourth task and feeling like a champion!

After a generous Kentish lunch, with locally sourced sandwiches, quiches, scones and cakes, it’s time for teams to tackle their final challenge!

Design and build a shelter that can withstand any weather – but the tools provided depend on how many points your team scored in the morning’s activities. You’ll finish off the day cooking up a treat over the campfire to impress the judges.

The activities, do not just test problem solving skills and communication but are great fun and will have everyone enjoying themselves.

Studies have shown that being outside in green spaces reduces stress and has a positive effect on mental and physical health, while problem solving as a team can build confidence and bring any group or department closer together.

Woodland adventure days are designed for teams of up to 30 people, but but if you have a bigger number in mind, Kent Country Parks teams can build bespoke days to accommodate them.

Andy Hewitt, project manager at Johnson Controls, took his team down to the woods and can't recommend the experience enough.

He said: "Judging by the banter in the office it has certainly done the trick. The activities were really entertaining and got everybody working together as a team.

"I’ll definitely recommend this to anybody else looking for a team building day.”
