Superior Care to create 270 jobs and open three new offices in Dartford, Ashford and Ramsgate to add to bases in Whitstable, Folkestone and Maidstone

A care company is set to create 270 jobs as it plans to open three new offices in Kent next year.

Superior Care is on the hunt for registered nurses and healthcare workers to fill vacancies at new bases in Dartford, Ashford and Ramsgate.

The firm, which already employs 400 people at offices in Whitstable, Folkestone and Maidstone, is expanding to meet increased demand for specialist care for adults and children living in their own home.

The company became the first care provider in Kent to pay the living wage in October and supported more than 700 clients last year, providing 300,000 hours of care.

Chief executive Stewart Thorp said: “This is a very exciting time for us. The current demand for our services means this will only grow in the future.

“We’re keen to hear from dedicated, motivated healthcare professionals who can help us build on our success and provide our clients with the exceptional care they deserve.

“We feel it is particularly important that clients are supported by local carers from within their own community.

“Our planned expansion will help us to do this, as well as creating jobs across the county.”

Mr Thorp founded Superior Care with business partner Sarah Lambert in 2006.

She managed the branch of a national care provider that supported Mr Thorp’s sister, Katie, when she returned home from hospital after an 18-month rehabilitation following a major road traffic accident.
