Tunbridge Wells law firm Thomson Snell & Passmore hire Jason Varney as partner

Tunbridge Wells law firm Thomson Snell & Passmore has appointed corporate lawyer Jason Varney as a partner in its corporate and commercial department.

He specialises in mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures and corporate governance.

He joins from London firm Reynolds Porter Chamberlain, where he has worked for the last five years; having previously worked and trained at the global 'magic circle' firm - the shorthand given for the top performing law firms - Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer.

Mr Varney has also been seconded to the in-house legal teams of HSBC, Barclays and Ebury Partners.

He said: "The team has extensive experience advising businesses throughout London and the South East, and I am excited to bring my experience to a firm with a strong record of providing quality service to its clients for over 450 years."
