Currently owned by the Odedra family, it has been put on the market by property specialists Christie & Co - the firm the family originally purchased the hotel from ten years ago.

Andrew Moore, director at the firm handling the sale, said: “The Abbey is the only purpose built hotel on Sheppey and as such, it has a unique position in the market there, representing a solid investment for a new incoming owner.”

There is owner’s accommodation on the first floor, which includes a lounge, kitchen and two bedrooms.
