Seminar to tackle new employment law

BUSINESS chiefs who are not up to date with maternity rights, holidays and other employment issues have been urged to attend a free seminar.

A survey of 700 carried out by Consult GEE Essential HR found that so many are ignorant about employment law that it decided to run the event for owners and managers of small and medium-sized enterprises.

The morning seminar, being held on September 16 at The Bromley Court Best Western Hotel, Bromley Hill, promises an overview of the employment issues facing SMEs and the implications of recent changes.

The event, which starts at 8.30am, includes refreshments and buffet lunch. It will give delegates the chance to meet employment law experts and discuss any problems or issues on a one-to-one basis.

Delegates will also have the chance to network with representatives from other small businesses facing the same issues.

The sessions will be led by Consult GEE Essential HR's employment law experts and authors, Stuart Chamberlain and Tony Trotman.
