Suspected Maidstone drug dealer due in court

A suspected dealer has been charged after drugs were seized at his Maidstone address.

Police raided a building in Grove Road at 6am on Wednesday and officers from the County Line and Gang Team seized two phones, a quantity of cash and suspected heroin and crack cocaine.

Leon Wilson, 36, was arrested on suspicion of drug dealing and later charged with possession of crack cocaine with intent to supply, being concerned in the supply of crack cocaine and being concerned in the supply of heroin.

He is due to appear before Medway Magistrates today.

The arrest was the latest in a series of arrests in connection with a crackdown on organised drug dealing.
