Police have made an arrest after reports of a man taking inappropriate pictures of a passenger on a bus.

Officers were called at around 8.30am to an incident on a bus in King Street, Maidstone.

A police spokesman said: "It is alleged a man had taken inappropriate images on a mobile phone of a passenger on the bus.

"It is further alleged the suspect assaulted the bus driver.

"Officers attended and a 61-year-old man was arrested. He remains in custody."
