Barn fire in Marden will be left to burn out

Firefighters tackling a barn fire in Marden were forced to leave the blaze to burn itself out.

Crews, including two fire engines, were sent to the incident Wheelbarrow Park Industrial Estate in Pattenden Lane just before 4.30pm last night.

The blaze involved around 30 tonnes of baled straw and was monitored by Kent Fire and Rescue until it exhausted itself under controlled conditions.

One fire engine remained on the scene until around 7.15pm
