A 29-year-old man has appeared before magistrates at Maidstone accused of murder.

Toby Edwards, of Lesley Place, Maidstone, is charged with killing Carl Biddiss, 36, also of Maidstone.

Mr Biddiss’s body was found next to the railway line at Buckland Hill in Maidstone on Sunday. Edwards spoke only to confirm his name, address and date of birth.

The magistrates sent him to the Crown Court for trial. He was remanded in custody until his next appearance on Monday.
