A road in a busy part of Maidstone will be closed all week while South East Water repairs a burst water main.

Bower Lane, off the A26 Tonbridge Road, will be shut until Friday between Newton Close and Bower Place.

A diversion is in place between Tonbridge Road, St Michael's Road and Bower Lane and vice versa.

Kent County Council warned drivers of the closure, which is likely to add to delays in the often congested part of town.
