A car blocked a village road in both directions this morning when it slid on ice.

The incident, which involved one car, happened in Rayners Hill, Lenham.

Kent Police were called just before 9.30am and had cleared the scene by 10.05am.

A force spokesman said villagers helped officers move the vehicle.

No injuries were reported.
