Man dies after 'cardiac arrest' in Tunbridge Wells street

A man has died after suffering a suspected cardiac arrest in Tunbridge Wells this afternoon.

Paramedics were called to Market Street at 1.50pm after reports he had collapsed and was unconscious in the street.

South East Coast Ambulance Service said crews battled to revive the man - believed to be in his 40s - but he died at the scene.

Kent Police said officers were called to act as crowd control while ambulance crews worked on the man.

Officers put up police tape to keep shoppers back from the site.

Several emergency vehicles were spotted at the scene, including three paramedic cars and two ambulances.
