Cats versus Eastenders

Following two sell-out evening performances of the Andrew Lloyd Webber musical Cats at The Malling School, and three matinees for local primary schools and Scout and Brownie groups, the production’s organisers decided to add a third evening performance.

The auditorium was packed once again, with some audience members coming back for the second or even third time to see the show.

The young performers received universal acclaim for their singing and dancing. The Rev James Brown, vicar of St James in East Malling, said of the show: "It was simply brilliant!"

There was a special surprise for the cast on the final night when Cheryl Fergison, formerly Heather Trott from Eastenders, popped in to wish the players well and to pose with the students in Cat headgear.
