Funny-man Jon Richardson promises to have Maidstone in stitches tonight when his tour comes to town.

The team captain on Channel 4's 8 Out of 10 Cats, will perform at the Hazlitt Arts Centre, in Earl Street, from 8pm.

Richardson, who also hosts the channel's Stand Up for the Week, began travelling across the country earlier this month for his Greatest Hits So Far tour.

Other comedians who have taken to the venue's stage include Alan Carr and Lee Evans.

Mandy Hare, theatre and events manager, said: "We are delighted to have yet another top comedian at the Hazlitt.

"Audiences and comedians love the intimate environment of the Hazlitt because it means that the experience seems more personal and memorable, which is great."

Tickets are £15.
