Diners at a fast-food restaurant made a grisly discovery after a condom was left on the floor.

Stephen Lee Gale has complained to KFC after spotting the condom in its Week Street, Maidstone, restaurant.

A resident of Hucknall in Nottinghamshire, said: "The place was a mess."

The discovery came days before KFC was due to open a new restaurant in The Mall, Maidstone.

An energy drink can and other rubbish were also strewn across the floor.

A KFC spokesperson said: “We always want our restaurants looking as clean and tidy as possible, so this definitely isn’t on.

"We’re sorry for Stephen’s experience and would always ask customers to speak to a member of staff if they spot something that isn’t up to our usual standards.”
