Cyclist killed after crash on A20 Ashford Road at Hollingbourne

A cyclist died after a crash on the A20.

Police are appealing for witnesses to a the crash which happened in Hollingbourne at around 8pm on Wednesday, July 3, on the Maidstone-bound carriageway of the A20 Ashford Road, just after the junction for Leeds village.

It involved a white Scania Tipper truck and a cyclist.

The cyclist, a man in his 40s from the Maidstone area, was pronounced dead at the scene. His next of kin have been informed.

Officers are working to establish the circumstances of the collision and are urging anyone who saw the lorry or the cyclist in the moments leading up to the collision, or who have dash cam footage from the area around the time, to contact them.
