Traffic delays after lorry spills load in Maidstone

A lorry shed a pile of soil and building site debris on a busy town centre road, causing delays.

Traffic was reduced to a crawl on Broadway in Maidstone shortly after 8am when the contents of the truck spilled onto the road.

The driver, dressed in hi-vis clothing, busily scrambled to shovel the load back in - finally finishing at around 9am.
