Drivers have reported seeing dozens of police vehicles and suffering delays on a main route this morning.

One motorist counted 34 police vans and cars on the Maidstone-bound carriageway of the A249 between Sittingbourne and Maidstone.

Dashcam footage shows a long line of police vehicles in the left hand lane.

Officers can be seen entering a site off the carriageway.

Met Police, who led the operation, have arrested three men during the incident.
