Maidstone: Martin Tucker charged with dangerous driving after A229 motorbike crash

A Maidstone man is set to appear in court following a crash which left a motorcyclist fighting for his life in hospital.

Martin Tucker, 46, of Tonbridge Road is charged with causing serious injury by dangerous driving and a first hearing will take place at Maidstone Magistrates’ Court on April 18.

Jordan Crist was riding his blue Suzuki 600 motorcycle home from work when he was involved in a collision with a Fiat Scudo on the A229 Royal Engineers' Road.

The crash happened around 5.30pm on Thursday, November 10 last year by the Old Chatham Road slip-road.

The biker, in his 20s, was airlifted to King’s College Hospital in London with life-threatening injuries, from which he is still said to be recovering.
