A man is in a serious collision in hospital after a car crashed in to a tree this morning.

The collision happened at Woodside Green, near Lenham.

At 6.50am, a grey Volkswagen car travelling towards Lenham collided with a tree on Faversham Road.

The incident happened between the junctions with Old Lenham Road and Lone Barn Road.

The driver, a man in his 20s, was treated for injuries at the scene and then taken to a London hospital, where he remains in a serious condition.

Officers are investigating the circumstances and are appealing for any witnesses who have not yet spoken to the police to get in contact.

They would also like to obtain dashcam or CCTV footage that may assist their inquiries.
