The Maidstone pensioner was married to her husband, an ex-Navy officer for 55 years.

Mrs Haines died on Friday, October 19, five days after the crash.

Police are continuing to appeal to witnesses.

The crash involved a grey Vauxhall Corsa and white Seat Ibiza at around 6.15pm.

Both the woman and a passenger in the Corsa were taken to a local hospital for treatment.

Neither casualty's injuries were originally thought to be life threatening.

They are particularly keen to see dash cam footage showing either of the vehicles driving in the area at the time of the collision.

Anyone with information is asked to call police on 01622 798538, quoting DS/XX/148/18.
