A car fire at the Running Horse Roundabout caused delays for about 40 minutes this afternoon.

Kent Fire and Rescue Service were called at 4.23pm to reports a Volkswagen estate was on fire.

They requested help from Kent Police to divert traffic.

Police left the scene at 5pm and the car has been left on a grass verge awaiting recovery.

Traffic should be flowing as normal.
