Fire crews have managed to put out a blaze in a flat in Cobb Way, Maidstone.
Two fire engines raced to the flat, which was in the oven of the home, in order to put out the fire.
The residents of the flat were outside when the fire crews arrived and there are no reported injuries although the flat was 'smoke logged'.
A spokesman said: "Kent Fire and Rescue Service was called to a fire in the kitchen of a flat in Cobb Way, Maidstone.
"On arrival crews found the occupants of the flat outside of the property and the flat itself smoke logged.
"Firefighters entered the property wearing breathing apparatus and using a hose reel jet extinguished the fire in the oven.
"The property was then ventilated. There were no reported injuries."
The fire was safely extinguished at around 5pm.
