Fire crews tackle a fire in a cellar in Tonbridge Road and a recycling skip alight in Park Wood, Maidstone.

Firefighters were called to an electrical fire in the cellar of a house in Maidstone.

Crews were called to the two-storey property in Tonbridge Road at just before 7.30pm last night.

Wearing breathing apparatus, they put the blaze out with a hose reel jet, before using a ventilation fan to clear the smoke.
