Maidstone: Cockerels and chickens stolen from New Line Learning Academy

Police are hunting a group of teenagers after five birds were stolen from a Maidstone school.

Three cockerels and two chickens were taken from a pen at New Line Learning Academy, Boughton Lane, between 8.30pm and 9pm last Thursday.

Four teenage boys, thought to be aged between 16 and 17 years old, were seen walking into the pen before leaving five minutes later carrying the birds.

The hens are of the Light Sussex and Hybrid brown breed. Two of the cockerels are Black Sumatras and the third is a Lemon Millefleur.

Three of the group were wearing dark tracksuits while one was wearing a grey tracksuit. One was also riding a bicycle.
