Video shared of man half-naked at McDonald's in Maidstone 'not okay'

A McDonald's manager has launched an investigation after a video of a man emerging naked from toilets was posted online.

He vowed action would be taken if a member of staff was found to be responsible, adding it was possible the man had accidentally soiled himself.

The man was spotted rushing into the toilet at the Broadway franchise in Hart Street, Maidstone, where it is assumed he soiled himself, as the toilet and clothing garments left in the cubicle appear to be covered in excrement.

He then removed his trousers and underwear and ran out of the store half-naked, covering his private parts.

Footage of the ordeal, which happened earlier this week, have since been posted online - said to be from the store's CCTV.

Ali El Hajj, who runs the three McDonald's branches in the town, has commented on the incident.

He said: "The person went to the toilet probably because he soiled himself - perhaps he had diarrhoea or was sick.

"From running in to him leaving - the whole thing happened in a matter of seconds."

It is unclear who uploaded the footage online, but Mr El Hajj said it is "not okay" if it was a member of his staff.

Mr El Hajj, who has run the restaurant since 2012, added: "It's definitely not okay for them to upload these images and we are investigating the incident to establish whether it was them.

"If it was, this will be treated very seriously but I don't want to jump to any conclusions."
