Homeowners have been warned to lock outbuildings after burglars swiped two bikes from a summer house in West Malling.

A man’s silver Marin mountain bike, worth £150, and a red unisex custom-built specialized mountain bike, worth £1,500, was taken from a summer house in the back garden of a house in Frog Lane, between 6pm on Tuesday October 20 and 5.45pm on Friday October 23.

The red bicycle is identifiable by a Team NZ metal Matrix 13.5ins frame, full XTR groupset, Tompson Elite seat post, Cellen Italy flight titanium seat, Azonic bar and stem.

Further security measures advised by police include chaining property together and keeping a record of the make, model and serial numbers of equipment.
