Horse rescued from River Medway near Maidstone

A horse has been rescued from the River Medway near Maidstone this morning.

The 15-hand tall animal was hoisted out using an all-terrain rescue vehicle from the river near Teston Lane.

It took Kent Fire and Rescue around two hours to drag the horse to dry land using special machinery, straps and winches.
