Maidstone's Razzamataz Theatre group offers online PE sessions for schools during Covid lockdown

With lockdown forcing many children to stay indoors all the time, there is no outlet for them to expend their energy.

But now staff at the Razzamataz Theatre School in Maidstone are offering their time free in a bid to support local schools by offering online PE sessions.

Razzamataz principal Charlotte Olivares said: “It really has been a very difficult year for all, but we are really proud of how our community has come together to support one another through this tough time.

"We feel it’s more important than ever for us to do our bit."

Schools are invited to get in touch via email to maidstone@razzamataz.co.uk to arrange free PE sessions for their pupils.

Razzamataz Maidstone were finalists for the Community Business of the Year award in the annual Club Hub Kids Activities Awards last year, an acknowledgement of their commitment to the community throughout 2019.

The theatre school offers a wide range of performing arts styles for children ranging in age from two to 18. Usually classes are held at the Cornwallis Academy in Hubbards Lane, Linton, but since lockdown, all classes have moved online.
