Crash on A229 Running Horse Roundabout in Maidstone causes delays

Drivers experienced long delays due to a crash involving a motorbike.

One lane was blocked northbound on the A229 Running Horse Roundabout in Maidstone this afternoon.

A spokeswoman from the ambulance service confirmed they were called at 3.30pm to reports of a collision involving a motorbike.

Crews are still at the scene of the accident, which happened near Gibraltar Lane.

KCC Highways warned drivers to expect delays on the approach.

Just before 4pm, the lane was reopened and traffic is returning to normal.

The fire service and police have been contacted for information.
