Man attending LGBTQ+ Glitterbomb concert at Mote Park, Maidstone left with fractured jaw and skull after gang attack

A festival-goer was left with a fractured jaw and skull after he was set upon by a gang of teenagers while leaving the event.

The victim, in his 20s, had been walking back from Glitterbomb at Mote Park in Maidstone with his girlfriend when the attack happened.

The couple were heading back to the car park between 8.30pm and 9pm on July 30 when they reported being surrounded by the young thugs on bikes and scooters.

They began verbally abusing the couple before one member of the group allegedly knocked the man unconscious.

Officers were quickly on the scene and arrested a 15 year-old boy from Maidstone on suspicion of assault.

He has since been released pending further enquiries.

Now police are urging witnesses to come forward.

Glitterbomb is an LGBTQ+ outdoor concert which featured RuPaul's Drag Race stars Cheryl Hole, Ellie Diamond, Charity Kase, Elektra Fence, Ginny Lemon and Scarlet Harlett.
