Long queues after multi-vehicle crash on A249 near Sittingbourne

Motorists near Sittingbourne faced long delays this evening rush hour after a multi-vehicle crash on the A249.

One lane was blocked on the northbound carriageway between Steps Hill Road and Church Hill as a result of the smash, which happened at around 4.30pm and involved a Volvo and a Smart car.

A police spokesman said: "Officers attended the scene and no injuries were reported.
