Maidstone will be aiming to avoid an upset when they start their FA Cup campaign at Homelands on Saturday.

The Stones host Combined Counties League side Bedfont, who play two leagues below them, and joint-boss Alan Walker (pictured) is hoping that their home advantage will prove decisive.

He said: "These ties are always tricky affairs and potential banana skins. But even more so, if you are away from home."

Stones will give a fitness test to defender Ashley Ulph, who has been having treatment on a damaged ankle but are still without injured striker Meshach Nugent and Nick Barnes who is unavailable.

New striker Aaron Firth and young defender James Peacock will again be included in the squad.
