Kevin Roach charged with the murder of Wesley Adyinka in Knightrider Street, Maidstone

A 39-year-old from London has been charged with the murder of a man who died after being stabbed outside a block of flats.

Wesley Adyinka, 37, died in the early of Sunday morning near his home in Knightrider Street, Maidstone, after suffering serious injuries.

Now, Kevin Roach, of Peace Close in South Norwood, is facing charges of murder and grievous bodily harm.

He will appear before Medway Magistrates' Court tomorrow.

Four other men, a 37-year-old from Croydon, a 27-year-old from Surrey, a 37-year-old from Maidstone and a teenager, 17, from London, have been released on bail pending further inquiries.

Police confirmed Mr Adyinka suffered stab wounds, but the cause of death will not be established until a post-mortem examination on Wednesday.

A woman in her 30s also suffered injuries but has now been discharged from hospital.
