Man, 62, due before magistrates after bomb threat at Wagamama in Tunbridge Wells

A 62-year-old man is due in court accused of making a bomb threat about a restaurant in Tunbridge Wells.

It comes after two 999 calls were made to police from a phone box near Mount Pleasant Road shortly before 11pm on Sunday.

The caller claimed there was a bomb at the Wagamama restaurant in the road, but they didn't leave a name.

Police arrested Stanley Horwood, from Goods Station Road, who was later charged with communicating false information alleging the presence of a bomb.

He was bailed to appear before Sevenoaks magistrates on August 20.
