A budget store in Maidstone's Week Street closed to customers after a man collapsed inside.

The incident happened on Wednesday afternoon at Poundland, around 4.30pm.

An ambulance was seen outside and paramedics went into the shop to treat the casualty.

Poundland was cleared of shoppers and staff closed the doors while the incident was being dealt with.
