Mystery as man found hurt in Aylesford road in early hours

A man has been taken to hospital after being found injured in an Aylesford road early today.

Police were called to Forstall Road at about 1.45am after reports he had been discovered hurt.

Officers launched an investigation and shut the road, near Medway Court, for more than six hours.

The man was treated at the scene by paramedics before being taken to hospital. The extent of his injuries was unclear.

A Kent Police spokesman said an investigation is continuing to establish how he came to be injured.

The road was re-opened at around 8.15am.

Witnesses said there were forensic officers at the scene.
