Jenner, of Albion Place, Maidstone, now faces a trial for allegedly trying to murder PC Sean Quinn with a pair of scissors on June 15.

The officer was airlifted to a London hospital after allegedly suffering stab wounds and is still believed to be off work.

His injuries, thought to have been caused by a pair of scissors, are alleged to have happened when officers attended a property in Albion Place.

Defence barrister Danny Moore told Judge Philip St John-Stevens that a psychiatric report was being ordered prior to the trial on November 20.

The court heard the trial is expected to last seven days and Jenner, who spoke only to confirm his name and enter a plea, was remanded back into custody.

No application for bail has been submitted.
