Maidstone: Man injured in A249 lorry crash

A man had to be treated by paramedics and police closed one lane of traffic on a busy road following a crash involving a lorry and a van.

Kent Police was called by South East Coast Ambulance Service at 7.34pm yesterday regarding a collision on the Maidstone-bound carriageway of the A249 near Detling Hill.

Ambulance crews and officers attended the scene where a man was treated for injuries that are described as minor. One lane was closed while the vehicles were recovered and reopened at 9.14pm.
