Danny Tiplady jailed after sending revenge porn pictures of ex-girlfriend in nappies

A pervert with a fetish for nappies sent revenge porn of an ex-girlfriend to one of her neighbours out of spite, a court heard.

Danny Tiplady forwarded 26 explicit pictures via Facebook messaging of the victim wearing a nappy and in erotic clothing.

He accompanied it with a winking emoji and told the shocked neighbour: “She likes a nappy that one. Should get some printed off and posted to her haha.”

After his arrest, Tiplady’s obsession with “repellent” images of bestiality and “gore” videos showing strangulation and other revolting acts was revealed.

Maidstone Crown Court was told the 31-year-old unemployed driver’s mate, who once stabbed himself and tried to blame his then girlfriend, sent the neighbour a friend request followed by the images.

She instantly recognised her neighbour in the pictures and contacted her. “She describes her understandably being upset and distressed,” said prosecutor Lucy Luttman.

“He sent 26 explicit images. They were personal, private images taken by the defendant. She was wearing a nappy and other erotic clothing which she believed had been deleted.”

She said in a victim statement: “This incident made me feel sick to my stomach. It is very disturbing for someone to do something like this. I feel very embarrassed my neighbour has seen those photographs.”

She added it made her feel paranoid and still upset and disturbed.

Miss Luttman said the neighbour expressed similar sentiments. “I feel very uncomfortable we have both seen those images,” she said.

Tiplady, of Kent Avenue, Maidstone, admitted sending them, saying he did it out of spite.

“When arrested for revenge porn, police officers seized his phone and saw images of children,” said Miss Luttman. “They attended his home on April 20 and seized a number of items.”

A USB stick contained extreme images including a man having sex with a woman and choking her with a tie. She struggles for breath before going motionless.

Also found were 58 videos and eight still images of children being abused in the highest category of seriousness. There were more in the other two categories.

One involved a baby girl as young as one or 18 months being raped while wearing a nappy. “She is clearly in physical pain,” said Miss Luttman. “Pain and distress can be seen on the children’s faces.”

Miss Luttman said 145 bestiality still images were found on Tiplady’s phone showing adult women in sex acts with dogs, a pig and a horse.

He denied having any sexual interest in children but admitted he liked watching gore videos and was interested in women dressing up in nappies and other baby items such as dummies.

“He said he was interested in school wear and domination but not interested in children,” said Miss Luttman.

Tiplady said he received the images through a WhatsApp group he joined in June 2017.

He was in April 2013 jailed for 10 months for perverting the course of justice after he stabbed himself in the thigh and tried to blame his girlfriend.

In the latest offences, he admitted disclosing private sexual images, six offences of making indecent images of children and three of possessing extreme pornography.

He was jailed for 20 months – four months for sending the private images and 16 months consecutive for the remaining offences.

Judge Charles Macdonald QC said Tiplady had shown some remorse in relation to the ex-girlfriend but had a lack of insight into the other offending.

“The court is dealing with serious and revolving offences,” he added.

Tiplady’s name will appear on the sex offenders’ register and a sexual harm prevention order was made, both for 10 years. He will be barred from working with children and vulnerable adults.

Ben Irwin, defending, said there was nothing he could say that could make the matter any less repellent.

“He began to walk down an incredibly dark path where he was routinely viewing the most dreadful images of gore and suffering,” he said.

“Other people have been dealt with in a shocking way which for him reflected how he felt inside.

“They are the actions of a damaged man, a troubled man – the kind of man who, when drunk and out of spite, would sent pictures out of the blue to an ex-partner’s neighbour.”

He was viewing shocking and disgraceful material when he was drinking and reflecting on his life in dark and troubled times, Mr Irwin added.
