Four men deny affray after brawl at baby's inquest in Maidstone

Four men will go on trial in January next year after a brawl at a baby's inquest.

They have denied affray at Archbishop's Palace in Maidstone on November 8 last year.

The infant's father and grandad Tommy and James Robinson, his mother's partner Joe Elkington-Rose, and Shane Ince appeared at Maidstone Crown Court to deny the charges.

James Robinson, 51, of North Dane in Chatham, was also charged with assaulting a police officer.

Tommy Robinson 22, of Connaught Road and Shane Ince, 33, of Wayfield Road - both Chatham - and Elkington-Rose, 24, of St Paul's Close in Strood, will now stand trial on January 6 next year.
