A shadow cabinet minister took a look round Maidstone Museum on a visit to the County Town.

Jeremy Hunt, shadow minister for culture and media, was invited to Maidstone by Conservative prospective parliamentary candidate Helen Grant, who accompanied him on his tour with Cllr Brian Moss, Maidstone council’s cabinet member for leisure and culture.

Cllr Moss said Mr Hunt was very impressed by the museum’s range of collections.

During his tour, Mr Hunt also met Kent Messenger editor Bob Bounds and visited the Maidstone TV studios.
