Maidstone: Police appeal for information after argument in Earl Street

A man is thought to have been hit by a car after a row erupted in Maidstone town centre.

An argument took place between a man and a woman by the disabled parking bays on Earl Street, before the woman drove off in a silver car.

It is alleged "contact was made between the vehicle and the man" but the circumstances of the incident, which took place at 7.40pm on Sunday, April 3, remain unclear.

A crime has since been reported and police are keen to piece together what happened.

PC Marc Daniel, the investigating officer for the case, said: "There were a number of people in the area at the time who may have seen what happened but are unaware a crime has been reported.

"If this appeal triggers any memories I would encourage anyone with information to call 01622 604100 quoting YY/7092/16."
