Police called to sudden death

Police were called to reports of a sudden death in Maidstone yesterday afternoon.

Officers arrived at a home in Northway, Penenden Heath, at about 11.55am, where a woman in her late 40s had died.

They were joined by a forensics team and South East Coast Ambulance.

The death is not being treated as suspicious. It is thought the woman died of natural causes.

Emergency services left the address at about 2.40pm after informing next of kin.
