Police hunt robber with big nose after man attacked with catapult in Postley Road, Maidstone

A man had his smartphone stolen after being hit with a stone fired from a catapult and then repeatedly punched.

The attack occurred last night in Postley Road, Maidstone near the junction with Gleneagles Drive.

The victim, aged in his late 30s, was approached by a group of youths aged between 14 and 18.

One fired a stone at him from a catapult before the group repeatedly punched him as he tried to dial 999. They then stole his phone.

One of the suspects is described as being approximately 5ft 4in tall, wearing a green hoody and with a prominent nose. The two other men were slightly taller and also wearing hoodies.
