A man was taken to a London hospital after he suffered serious injuries in an attack.

The 23-year-old casualty, from Maidstone, was assaulted in Kings Hill last night.

The ambulance service was called at about 8.30pm and sent two cars and one ambulance to Tower View.

Paramedics at the scene treated the man, who had cuts to his face, but made the decision to take him to Kings College Hospital in London.

Crews believed the patient had been assaulted and called police.

Officers are treating the incident as grievous bodily harm and are appealing for anyone with information to come forward. Witnesses can call police on 101, quoting crime reference YY/7726/13.
