Racist attack in town nightclub

POLICE are appealing for information after a man was the victim of a racially aggravated attack in a town centre nightspot.

The victim, who lives in Maidstone and is in his 20s, was with a friend in Jumpin' Jaks nightclub at Lockmeadow, Barker Road, Maidstone. He was approached by a group of four men who started making racist comments. Then he was hit over the head with a bottle and punched repeatedly.

The incident happened on Sunday at about 11.15pm. Witnesses are asked to contact Det Sgt Rob Cox on 01622 608182.
