The company alerted passengers of the issue on social media this morning.

A post read: “Because of a failure of the electricity supply in the Paddock Wood area, services are currently unable to run towards Tonbridge.

Those with tickets can use Medway Valley Line services to travel to Strood to use highspeed services and use these services at no extra cost.

Southeastern said the issue was just affecting the very immediate area of Paddock Wood station.

It updated passengers just after 11am that trains are now able to run on their normal route but there may be delays as we work to return services to normal.
