The Druid's Arms in Earl Street, Maidstone, will reopen soon after a refurbishment

A town centre pub has closed for refurbishment.

The Druid’s Arms in Earl Street, Maidstone, closed last week for the refit, which owner Greene King has described as “exciting.”

There will be a new bar in the courtyard, a more spacious interior and new toilets. It is expected to reopen before the end of the month.

A spokesman said: “We apologise for any inconvenience to our customers during the work and look forward to welcoming everyone back to the new-look venue very soon.”

It comes just over a week after the Muggleton Inn in the High Street reopened after a two-week refit which cost £445,000.
